Mickie's Winged Lion Cache Traditional Cache
GrandpaGene: Well, this lasted almost nine years. But the church has closed its doors and the congregation has moved. The cache has been smuggled, so it's time to close this one down, too.

This is a small camoed container large enough for a few small SWAG items. It is close to a bus stop on a busy street so watch out for muggles, the reason for the Difficulty level of 2, which can be higher at certain days. The cache is on church grounds so there can be a high level BOTH Saturday and Sunday mornings to early afternoon as two congregations worship here.
The winged lion is the symbol of Saint Mark, the Gospel writer and patron of this church. My wife worshiped and served here for more than 20 years in almost every position a laywoman could serve. After finding this cache, do look for the many other interesting caches in the area. The cache itself is a pill bottle and painted camo. Cache is placed with the permission of the rector and vestry of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, Hampton, VA.
Bring your own pen. If you are a Virginia cacher and would like to have a Virginia special geocaching license plate for your cachemobile, contact WckdSoul65@yahoo.com for more information Congratulations to bbmtc for another FTF.
