A well hidden micro off a footpath from Pennance Road to Martin's Quarry, on the Eastern flanks of Carn Marth.
A short steepish walk from footpath to the cache. May become overgrown in Summer.
Back in the 80's I use to walk this path most days with my Gordon Setter - Skye.
Being a gundog he was constantly searching for wildlife tracks and scents. One day he came across a Buzzard that had gone to ground and feeding on a rabbit, then the chase took place. Buzzards are notoriously slow to get off the ground and up in the air. Skye disappeared up this slope trying to grab the tail of the Buzzard which was only a few inches above his head.
10 mins later Skye came back panting but with no feathers in his mouth. I dread to think what would have happened to both of them if he had caught that bird.
Further up this footpath you will come across Martins granite quarry on your left where the path flattens out. Please take great care if/when you go in there as there is 3 seperate ponds and the large one is very deep. KEEP HOLD OF KIDS & PETS.
Good luck with the cache which was inspired by Happy Humphry on the Isle of Man.
Please be fair and log ALL VISITS, found and not found.
""Please be gentle and handle the container with care as it broke within the first day of placing"" You cachers are too eager.
