This is not the home of Oliver & Lisa Douglas, and Hooterville or Petticoat Junction are not anywhere near here...it's the historic Wallisch Homestead in scenic West Milford, NJ.
With the addition of a major gas pipeline nearby, the icon of this old homestead provides a contrast between our energy demands of then and now...it seems that "going green" is nothing new after all!
The Wallisch Homestead was recently acquired by the Township of West Milford for public use, however entry into any of the buildings is not permitted. You may park on the gravel driveway, but please avoid driving on the grassy areas.
This is a magnetic key hider containing only a log (it is not one of the box type mouse/rat traps that you may find nearby). It should be a quick park & grab for most, and with the hint you may not even need a GPS to find it!
An archived cache (GC19RWR) was located near here, so some may already be familiar with the location & grounds.
