YCH: Dam MDT Traditional Cache

York County Hikes – People play this game for a variety of reasons. For us, geocaching represents a way to explore the natural beauty hidden around us. We decided to place a series of caches that will take you to some lesser used parts of the county and will hopefully get your heart pumping at the same time. Have fun, be safe, and enjoy all of what York County has to offer!
If you have ever spent any time hiking the blue blazed wonder known as the Mason Dixon Trail, you have almost certainly cursed it.
This cache exemplifies what it's all about, and why we just keep coming back, in one short hike. You will see a beautiful waterfall filled ravine, have a good challenging hike, and get one heck of a view of Holtwood Dam at the top.
Due to the steepness of the trail and conditions at ground zero, do not seek this cache during wet conditions. Be aware of your surroundings at all times and hold on tight when making the retrieval - it is a long way down. This cache is not for everyone and you seek at your own risk. It is strongly suggested you bring a buddy along for this one.
