Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
The cache is at the posted coordinates. However, you must first
qualify to log it as found.
*****10/8/11 There seems to be a construction project going on and the cache is trapped behind a fence. Until the project is done, it will be a virtual-ish cache. Send me the name at the top of the nearby sign or a description of where the cache that you can't get to is located and we'll call that a signing of the log. Sorry for the inconvenience.*****
I always enjoy finding caches that have a story behind them. Some of the stories are touching (GCH7P0 Kai’s Cache and GC122QG 12/20), some are inspiring (GC1TNJO 103 and Going Strong), some are funny (GC17A75 Dragging a Log and GC2G1K0 AD0OR's Christmas Tree), and some celebrate this game we play and those who make it what it is (GC26E6F GREAT CACHERS 3 and GC28AEF Hi, Mile Cyclist). I've found a lot of these caches lately and it occurred to me that they would make a good challenge.
The goal is to find 100 caches placed in honor of someone.
Please read ALL of the requirements as follows:
1. Sign the log anytime, but you must find the 100 tribute caches before logging this as a find.
2. Verify your qualifications in any way that works for you but unverified logs will be deleted.
3. Any caches placed in honor of a person/ group of people or an animal, cacher or muggle, are acceptable. Event caches count too. Honorees can not be fictional characters. See the list below for some examples of acceptable caches. Email me if you have questions about whether a particular cache counts.
4. Only 10 finds can be claimed from each hider, and only 5 finds per honoree. Caches placed to honor oneself do not count. Your own hides do not count as finds. Caches placed to honor oneself do not count. There are no location or date restrictions.
5. Extra credit: Tell in your log about some of your favorite tribute caches or stories behind those caches.
