Geocache Description:

A cache marking a peculiar place of interest in San Francisco's long history of eccentrics, and in no way promoting the views and opinions of said eccentrics.

Now an unassuming stack of condos, on this Outer Richmond location the infamous Black House once stood. Home of Anton LaVey, founder of the Church of Satan, the house was the site of the first Satanic baptism and wedding, as well as home to LaVey's pet lion.

In the years since the Black House was razed, devotees of LaVey made numerous pilgrimages to the site, once painting a black arrow on the sidewalk in wax, and regularly stealing the three 6's from condo's address placards, until a more secure piece of signage was installed.

Use stealth and discretion in this quiet neighborhood, and there's no need to touch or disturb the building itself. Bring a pen, as the cache is quite small.

Congratulations to caccbag for the FTF!
