The cache is situated at the turnoff to the Klondyke Cherry Farm. The cache is very small, and should be more or less snow proof in its hiding spot. Usually the road is very quiet, but as always be on the lookout for cars. Bring your own writing tool to make a mark in the logbook.
Please replace as found and happy caching!
The Klondyke Cherry Farm is a working fruit farm with cherries, pears and apples that is situated at 1200 metres above sea level. Summers here are cooler than Ceres, and the winters are crisp.
Winters get very cold on the farm and it is often white with snow. Sometimes the snow is just a dusting on top of the Matroosberg mountains, but at other times the snow lies quite thick on the farm. The snow typically falls from July to September.
In season they are open 7 days a week, to pick some cherries or to have a picnic. There is a small entry fee, but it is not neccessary to enter the farm to access the cache.
