CONGRATS to Fundy & Valley and hike4familyfun on their FTF!
Well, I just learned a lot about driving. Anyone who lives in the area will tell you that if you're going to take your drivers test, you should get a lot of practice in downtown Kentville. All the one-way streets are challenging.
So I headed out this morning, and when I arrived in Kentville, I couldn't decide what the best way was to drive around. So I started driving at random. Every time I got to an intersection, I randomly picked a (legal) direction to leave the intersection. Many streets are one-way, so at some intersections there was only one choice, and at other intersections there were several.
After about 12 hours of doing this, I think I'm ready to take the test. I can say that I spent enough time in all the intersections that the sights are burned into my memory forever. In fact, I noticed several things with numbers on them (pictures are below). When I got home, I was asked "So, what did you see?" Without thinking, I said the first 6 numbers that came into my head. The first number was from the intersection I visited the most. The second number was from the second most visited intersection, and so on.
The coordinates of this cache are N45 04.UVW W064 30.XYZ, where U is the number I saw the most, V, next most, and so on, down to Z. Below is a sketch of the streets of Kentville and pictures of the six numbers taken from the six intersections. Some streets have been omitted from the map, as I was only interested in driving around the downtown. Figure out which 6 interections I visited the most, then go to the intersections yourself and find the numbers that are in the pictures.
Waypoints labelled "A" to "K" are associated with this geocache. These correspond to the intersections in the map below. You will need to visit 6 of these 11 locations to solve the puzzle. The waypoints are intended only to identify the intersections. The numbers are visible from somewhere in the intersection, but are not necessarily at exactly the waypoint locations.
A link below is provided for coordinate verification. The actual final cache location is slightly off - subtracting 002 from your west value should help.
You can validate your puzzle solution with
certitude.
