Geocache Description:

A drive by micro cache situated in the pretty village of Cullingworth near to the Village Hall and in sight of the Grade 2 listed St John the Evangelist Church.

St John the Evangellist Church is one of the Commissioners' Churches that was enabled by money voted by Parliament as a result of the Church Building Act 1818 and subsequent acts.

The people of Cullingworth received a grant of £500 and had to raise additional funds locally. The church was designed by the architects William Perkin and Elisha Backhouse and is in the Gothic revival style with a tower and spire. The building was completed in 1853 and was restored in 1902.

This is a screw top container that is slightly smaller than a film canister. You do not need to go into the grounds of any property to access this cache.
