This site was home of a working mill in
the mid 1800's that served as a Grist mill AND a Saw mill. The mill
was built by Jesse William Souther who also served proudly in the
“Cherokee War”. The posted coords are for a large
roadside wooden structure that houses photos and a marker,
presented by his grandson. Take a moment and imagine this area over
200 yrs ago in this beautiful valley. the east.
