Around A.D. 951, Akasaka Hikawa-jinja was built around the 4 chome of present Akasaka, and was moved to the present position after that in 1730.
It is the shrine which is counted with Azabu Hikawa-jinja, Shibuya Hikawa-jinja, the Hikawa shrine, etc. in Edo 7 Hikawa, and is made into the first in a roll.
