Geocache Description:

Hi, and welcome to GIN RUMMY.

Grab your hat, your mozzy spray, GPS and your pen and head out to your cachemobile.

Better grab a bottle of water as well, you might need it.

Ok, here is your GAME CARD.

You will notice that there are 8 sets of 4 cards, called RUNS, and each RUN has a line under it.

This is to allow you to write under each CARD a LETTER.

To find the LETTERS you will need to go out and find 6 CACHES (there were 8, but 2 are now archived, but the clues that were in those are below). (The caches are in a 20km radius of Laanecoorie) The caches you will need are: GC2MCW5; GC2G1MF; GC2M4FF; GC2KNH4; GC2KNHG (now archived, cards in that one were Ks-U, 10d-T, Qd-O, Jd-J); GC2M52D (now archived, cards in that one were Jh-P, 8c-R); GC2G1M8; GC2KNJJ.

In the 6 caches you will find attached to the inside of the LID or cache WALL some playing cards.  PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THE CARDS.  On those cards there is a LETTER.

Write the LETTER you find on the card under the corresponding card on your GAME CARD above.

Once you have filled out your GAME CARD you are ready for the next step, which is converting the LETTERS to NUMBERS.

This is where you put on your thinking caps, grab a cuppa and some brain food of your choice.

Each LETTER that you found on the cards need to be converted into a number.

We won't give you any hints as to how to do this as we are pretty sure you will be able to work it out.

Once you have converted the LETTERS to NUMBERS you are now ready to work out where the cache is by doing some simple calculations.

The cache can be found at:

S36 (Jd-Qs)(Jc-10s).(Ad+Ks)(8c-9s+10c)(Jh+Ah)

E143 (9c-Kd)(Qd-Kh).(Qh+Kc)(10d-As-Ac)(Qc+Qs+Kd)

Once you have worked out the above calculations you can head off and find the cache, that's if all is correct.

The cache you are looking for is of a size worthy of the hunt.  Plenty of room for swaps.  As per the name of the cache, the swaps are of a "GIN RUMMY" theme, so please try and stick to it if you are able to.

Cheers and happy hunting.

The 2 caches that are archived had the following cards in them: Ks-U, 10d-T, Qd-O, Jd-J, Jh-P, 8c-R.
