Henllan Lane - Trellech Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

The Catbrook Cachers: Been up there today and cache does apppear to have gone. Original hiding place now very overgrown and thorny. As this was never the most visited and I no longer live round here to maintain, I'm archiving it save people coming up here to not find anything.

Geocache Description:

Overlooking the picturesque and historical village of Trellech and the surrounding area. Located on Henllan Lane, a bridleway on the Northern side of Broad Meend.

Trellech dates back to medieval times when it was a much larger settlement and an important community in South Wales. The Black Death wiped out much of the town and today Trellech has returned to the quiet village it once was. Although it still has several attractions, which include:
- St. Nicholas' Church
- The Virtuous Well
- Harold's Stones
- Tump Terret

It is also home to the local school, Trellech Primary School.

The cache is a small plastic box containing a pencil, logbook and small trading items.
