Cardinal Nicknames Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

C3GPS: Looks like this one has disappeared. I’ve replaced it a couple of times but this one has run its course. And, since the last message I got about it had 6 sentences and 29 exclamation points (yes, I counted), I wouldn’t want anyone to suffer any trauma looking. Thanks for searching!

Geocache Description:

This is a simple puzzle dedicated to past and current St Louis Cardinal baseball players.  I've been a Cardinal fan since I could talk and always enjoyed listening to Jack Buck and Mike Shannon on the radio.  I've also always enjoyed nicknames that athletes are given.  This puzzle would have been easier to create had I used athletes from any team but since it's only Cardinal players, it was a bit more difficult.  However, that means it will probably be a bit easier to solve.

You will only need to add and subtract.  No multiplication or division is involved.  If a player has more than one possible answer, you will be able to use the most common, in most cases.  In one case, it will not be the most common but the alternate answer will be impossible so common sense should prevail.

I hope you have as much fun seeing some of these old nicknames as I did!

N 38 (Silent George + The Secret Weapon).(Red)(The Mad Hungarian + The Big Cat + El Hombre)
W 090 (Simba - Country).(Ducky + The Wizard)(The Octopus + The Fordham Flash)(E.T. - The Zamboni - The Lip - The Hat)

You can check your answers for this puzzle on Geochecker.com.
