This cache continues a series of hides dedicated to songs by individual artists or groups I enjoy and also relate to the cache itself. This cache is also dedicated to BeerCache 2010!
Ahhh, Beercache 2010 is finally upon us. Now I know what you are thinking, why is he writing about margaritas when this whole event focuses on beer. Well folks, it is really about a state of mind. No other song in the world I can think of epitomizes a more laid back, carefree state of mind more than “Margaritaville”.
Margaritaville is a 1977 song preformed by Jimmy Buffett off of his Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes album. Needless to say, I enjoy the song a lot and have absolutely no problem singing the thing at a Buffett concert…which I have done along with a whole bunch of other ‘Parotheads’ at my side. Margaritaville is still Buffett’s highest charting SOLO effort reaching number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.
A carefree state of mind is what you will need in order to find this cache. You will need all of your geosenses to grab this one (phoning a friend does not count as a “geosense” people). Take your time, be careful, and have fun with this one. Oh, be sure to send a silent thanks to my neighbor, he helped on this one? And if you get too frustrated take some advice from the song itself….
