Nelson explores Kingsgate 5 Mystery Cache
DamiansPapa: I walked by the final for this cache and realized in their diligence to improve the sidewalks in Kirkland, the City of Kirkland has removed the cache. Interestingly enough they removed the cache and cover for this area but left most of the garbage from 40 years of cover. Will have to bring a bag next time I come by here. But the cache is gone so will have to see if there is an opportunity for something near here in the future. If replaced it will be a new location and cache type.

The cache is not at the listed coordinates but it would be a good place to park if you want to walk this puzzle. You will cover about 3 miles if you walk it and it would be great exercise. Nelson loves walks like this. This puzzle can also be driven fairly easily.
The Kingsgate 5 is a development of over 300 homes in the Kingsgate community located where Kirkland and Woodinville meet. It forms a half circle around the Kingsgate Safeway and Kingsgate Ice Rink. The main entrances to the development are NE 149th St and NE 141st Way. Kingsgate 5 is totally on the East side of 124th Ave NE. Kingsgate 1, 2, 3, and 4 are separate developments on the west side of 124th Ave NE.
The Kingsgate 5 neighborhood is also home of the Kingsgate Gators swim team. The community owns a pool and a nice sized park called “The Kirkland City Park.” Now that sounds like a public park but it actually is a privately owned park.
Kingsgate 5 is Nelsons main stomping grounds and you can likely see him pulling his owner around on walks. This is quite a feat for a small Border Terrier. A walk is Nelson’s second favorite thing in life. His first is FOOD!
Now some of these Waypoints are not technically in Kingsgate 5 but are integral parts of the community.

For this puzzle you will need to visit each waypoint and observe something about the waypoint. Using what you observe at all the waypoints combined, determine the coordinates for the final.
All but WP2 and WP6 are easily observable from a car. If anyone wants pictures of these two sent to them I will be happy to do that. This puzzle should be fairly straightforward and if driven should not take over half an hour to do. Walking and done in the right sequence an hour should be enough.
There is easy parking within 100 ft of the final (east or west). Do not do any bushwhacking for the final. Just relax and it will come to you. This is a heavy muggle area for walking and cars so please take care and replace the cache where it can be seen while relaxing but not by passerbys. You will understand when you find it.

Update 6/8/2011: Waypoint 1 was a sign that has been removed with the shutdown of the firestation in Kingsgate. This si very sad and I considered finding a new clue but decided to just add the picture. So for WP 1 you won't find anything at the coordinates but look at the picture in honor of the Woodinville Fire Department.
