This cache is located in Sunset Park in Las Vegas, NV. It has been placed in the dunes on a small hill. Stick to the sandy areas once you leave the paved path, and be careful about which plants you brush against since some have thorns (and they're NOT cacti). You'll need to climb a small sandy hill to reach the cache location. Sunset Park is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. If caching at night, you'll need to bring a light with you to find this one!
The cache container is a lock 'n lock box about 6 inches by 4 inches by 3 inches. It contains a log book and writing utensils, and is starting with a few trade items: a desert camo geocaching wristband and FTF pin for the first cacher to find the cache, plus a small keychain, bouncy ball, and new pen.
Sunset Park is a popular place to bring dogs and has two fenced dog areas not far from this cache (one for small dogs and one for large dogs). Unfortunately, many people also take their dogs into the dunes area and let them run off their leashes, so be aware that you may encounter loose dogs in the dunes.
Please be sure to rehide the cache carefully, making sure that it is not visible to the casual observers who wander through this area!
