What Happened Here? Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

g8tcher: Cache is missing again and it's obvious that a homeless individual has taken up residence here. I must sadly archive this geocache.

Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Sunset Park in Las Vegas, NV. It has been placed in the dunes on the edge of a small clearing. Stick to the sandy areas once you leave the paved path, and be careful about which plants you brush against since some have thorns (and they're NOT cacti). Sunset Park is open from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM daily. If caching at night, you'll need to bring a light with you to find this one!

The cache container is a lock 'n lock box about 8 inches by 8 inches by 3 inches. It contains a log book and writing utensils, and is starting with a few trade items: an unactivated Travel Slug and FTF pin for the first cacher to find the cache, plus a desert camo geocaching wristband, small keychain, bouncy ball, some stickers for the kids, and new pen.

Sunset Park is a popular place to bring dogs and has two fenced dog areas not far from this cache (one for small dogs and one for large dogs). Unfortunately, many people also take their dogs into the dunes area and let them run off their leashes, so be aware that you may encounter loose dogs in the dunes.

Please be sure to rehide the cache carefully, making sure that it is not visible to the casual observers who wander through this area!

10/17/11 New cache container placed. You're looking for a forest-camo tape-covered plastic jar. A new log book and a few trade items are inside. It is IMPERATIVE that you check the cache container's visibility after rehiding it -- we don't want this geocache to be muggled again! Cache is 10 to 12 feet south of its original location at N36.03.712 W115.06.839.
