Die Erdpyramiden von Terenten
Die Erdpyramiden von Terenten befinden sich nördlich des Ortes Terenten und sind am schönsten auf einer Wanderung entlang des Mühlenweges zu erleben (siehe Waypoint START).
Wem Wandern nicht liegt, der kann auch mit dem Auto bis zum Cache fahren. Aber die Wanderung ist wärmstens empfohlen.
Erdpyramiden entstehen durch Erosion. Auslöser ist oftmals ein Aufbrechen des Bodens, z.B. durch einen Hangrutsch. Grundlage für die Pyramidenbildung sind Steine oder Steinplatten, die in der erodierenden Schicht liegen. Diese bilden ein natürliches Dach und schützen die darunterliegende Schicht vor der Verwitterung. Während ungeschützt liegendes Material mit der Zeit abgetragen wird, bleibt unter dem Stein ein Materialkegel stehen - die Erdpyramide.

Schick mir die Antwort auf folgende Fragen:
- Schätz oder zähl wie viele Erdpyramiden zu sehen sind.
- Schätz die Höhe der größten.
- Schätz die Höhe der kleinsten.
Danach kannst Du sofort den Cache loggen. Falls etwas nicht stimmen sollte, melde ich mich. Logs ohne vorher beantwortete Fragen werden gelöscht.

The earth pyramids (hoodoos) of Terento
The earth pyramids of Terento are in the north of the village Terento and can ideally be seen on a hike up the Mühlenweg (see waypoint START).
If hiking is not your thing, then you can go there by car as well. But I absolutely recommend to take the hike.
Earth pyramids are created by erosion. Trigger is often a crack in the ground, e.g. a landslide. Needed for the creation of pyramids are large stones, that lie in the eroding layer. These stones create a natural roof and protect the underlying layer from wind and rain. Over time the unprotected material gets washed away, leaving the cone of protected material under its stone top - the earth pyramid.

Send me the answers to the following questions:
- Estimate or count how many hoodoos you can see.
- Estimate the height of the tallest one.
- Estimate the height of the shortest one.
