What Better To Do On 1/13/11 Than Come
Out And Help Celebrate Cheech Gangs #5000, You Wont Want To DNF
This One
The event is located at Schlotzky's Deli
on Reynolds Rd in Maumee, begins about 5:30 PM and will go until
the last cacher leaves or the restaurant closes. Stop in for a
minute or the evening.
Cheech has threatened to be out of the
country if anyone proposed a celebration but I'm pretty sure he'll
be puzzled enough to make an appearance once he sees this cache
page and reads the Will Attends from the fans.
There'll be a toast and possibly a roast
about 7:00 PM so mark your calendars for 1/13/11. (originally
1/11/11)
Additional logging requirements are a
thing of the past but please wait to log this one until Cheech logs
in as Second To Attend, Thanks
If you can't make it, may I suggest
leaving a note of wry humor on the event date to show your
appreciation and awe of his achievement? Example: I really
wanted to be there but I was busy sorting my socks. I'm sure
he'll understand.
* Cheech Honors (noun); a phrase associated with the second
physical signing of a geocache log, derived from a NW Ohio cacher
who developed the uncanny ability to place his name on the second
line of logbooks. (examples); Little Johnny signed it first and I
took Cheech Honors, I arrived in time to take Cheech Honors, No,
you take first to find, I want Cheech Honors. (synonyms); second to
find, second to sign. (more); Occasionally, for real good caches,
witholding (sandbagging) of the second finders online log occurs in
order to keep the excitement and anticipation up for others who may
be seeking Cheech Honors, this practice is frowned upon in
general.
