Geocache Description:

Close to, and a good view of, what was th A1 only a short while ago.

I was passing here on the way to laying the Sowgate Lane caches and just couldn't resist adding this one. You can get here with a short detour from that series by crossing the footbridge from Sowgate Lane. There is closer parking to this cache if you travel from Ferrybridge square to the end of Doncaster Road, another road that was once the A1. No parking right next to the cache!
You will see this is close by what was the A1 till a short while ago (now the A162) but you will be on a safe footpath with good access for pushchairs and even a possible cache from a wheelchair. Because of it's location there will be lots of passing road traffic so an amount of stealth may be required but this shouldn't give too much trouble.
Cache is a magnetic keysafe with log book only so bring your own writing stick.
