Altnew 7 - sapphire? Traditional Cache

The Altnew series comprises 7 caches placed on a circular walk, which starts in Altofts, touches on the edge of the historic Newlands estate and offers glimpses of Normanton, Wakefield and even Emley Moor mast on a clear day. Street parking is available near the start of the paths. Although part of a series, each Altnew cache is loggable in its own right
The whole walk should take between 60 to 75 minutes and is virtually all a mixture of clearly defined field paths and old roads. These can become very muddy in wet conditions and walking boots are recommended. Unfortunately, it is not really suitable for pushchairs.
THERE IS NO LONGER A BONUS ON THIS SERIES
This cache, Altnew 7, has had to be REPLACED and RELOCATED on 9/8/11 and again on 10/4/12. New co-ordinates N53 41.977 W001 25.950 It is now a small black container, similar to Altnew 5 - view. There is no pen or pencil at the moment so make sure you have your own. The cache name "sapphire?" now has NO relevance!!
