Guildford Chantries - East. One of a series of nine.
The cache is a 0.5 litre food container.
The Chantries form part of the ridge of the North Downs, just to the South of Guildford. Chantry Wood is 78 hectares of mixed woodland and an Area of High Ecological Value within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in striking distance of Guildford Town Centre.
The Chantries are popular with walkers (and dogs) all year. Rabbits, deer, badgers and foxes live wild there. In April/May the wooded area is a mass of bluebells. The top of the hill has open fields with stunning views to the south.
The cache is camouflaged by sticks at the base of a tree adjacent to the fence.
The cache has been seeded with some initial "treasures" including geocaching keyring, bouncy ball, balloons, gel pen, yoyo. Cachehoney got the "First To Find" trophy.
Please ensure that the cache is left with the lid firmly on to keep the contents dry and is well hidden.
Good hunting. You may also be interested in my other caches.
Please only log a find if you have signed the log. If you haven't, try adding a "write note" instead. Thanks.
