Geocache Description:

Thulasihleka Pan Bird Sanctuary is an area managed by BirdLife Zululand and the Zululand Birding Route in association with the uMhlatuze Municipalities "Adopt a Spot" programme. All hides, guides and infrastructure at the Pan were made possible by very kind support from local business and municipalities.

This cache is name after the African Jacana which is a local bird, among others, at this pan.

The area is excellent for bird nerds like us. There are a few hides around the pan. The cache is a short hike away from the parking area, where no muggles will ever find it.

This is a conservation area - no dumping.
No fires other than designated area.
Beware of crocodiles.
No fishing.
Please keep noise and disturbance to a minimum.
Look out for snakes, spiders and any other bugs that can cause harm.
