Geocache Description:

A small castle was built on the hill in Penwortham overlooking the river crossing and the castle mound (the motte) can still be seen behind St Mary's church. some uneven and slippery flags, uneven and often muddy paths. Car park at the end of Church Ave, or park at the end of Holme Rd.

This cache is made up of a 5" X 4" Camouflaged tupperware box which contains a log, pencil and a few other bits and bobs. You will have to look hard as it blends in rather well!!. Muggle's can appear from various directions.

Due to the recent weather the stone path leading to the church has taken a severe beating!, as a result and to cover against insurance claims they have started locking the main gate (until repairs are carried out). Access is still available via the path to the left of the church or Holme Road.
UPDATE
It wasn't the weather, thieves have stolen the flags :-((
Also very slippery around ground zero!!.
