This is our first time hiding a cache. We were inspired by a Travel Bug we found that belongs to a boyscout. He wanted the bug to go from Connecticut to Hollywood and we found it in a small town in Ventura County and decided to bring the bug to it's final home! My dad is an eagle scout and was so happy to help the boyscout complete the job to earn his merit badge.
Start at the Hollyridge Trail at the top of Beachwood Dr. Parking is scarce and it is best to try and park by the houses. Follow the trail and you will go past a ranch were you can rent horses. Keep going up the trail and less than a half a mile you will keep left and take a sharp turn up a smaller path. Do not continue on the big path. Follow the trail around until you hit the black pavement. Keep to the left and follow the pavement around till you hit a dead end. You will end up at a residential home where there is a yellow gate with a hill leading up to the perfect view of the Hollywood sign. Follow the trail up to the water tower, but do not go past the water tower! The rest is up to you!
