Geocache Description:

This is an easy three stage multi then to the final, easy if you possess a special magical wand and enjoy a little hiking.
Posted coordinates are where you start your search and it's called "The Smaller Fallen."
A writing quill for signing the magic scroll and standard magic wand (flashlight) are wise to bring along too.

If you need a magic wand, catch up with the two I have placed out as trackables: TB38YJT and TB29QV5.

UV Light required.

The first three waypoints are on or just off the trail, the final is a short distance from a main trail but this will not adversely effect the environment. No bushwacking needed. I've used the <1KM (0.6 mile) attribute but I think it's right at that distance of a hike from the nearest parking.

Once upon a time, but not so long ago, there was a fierce and greedy Dragon. It's treasure horde was sought after by many an adventurer but none were able to make off with any of the substantial stash. Until one day a Wizard possessed of great magic slipped past the beast and stole one of many treasure chests. This Wizard was as generous as he was clever and only took a few items for himself, hiding the rest to share with all others as gifted and brave as he.

The area in which the Wizard hid the stolen Dragon's treasure chest is protected by strong magics that interfere with modern electronics. There are wards and sigils in the forest to keep fools from discovering the secrets that lay among the ancient trees and green ferns. It is not advised to seek this treasure between what is called ten o'clock pm and five o'clock am and when the forest paths are muddy from heavy mist and rain, so stay away.

The best time to seek this treasure is when the sun is low in the sky, near dusk and dawn but because of the tall dense forest, on a cloudy day you may have good luck.

Sign the magic scroll within the treasure chest. Use your magic wand on the chest and scroll too.

There is a bar of gold from the dragon's treasure and a Travel Dragon trackable for the first adventurers to find this hidden chest.

To encourage others to seek this adventure, the great Wizard set special magic that will bring other items of value (unactivated trackables) to this hidden chest from time to time, so place it on your watch list.

The UV spectrum is a limited range of light. Ultraviolet (UV) light is electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength shorter than that of visible light. It is so named because the spectrum consists of electromagnetic waves with frequencies higher than those that humans identify as the color violet.

Ultra Violet light from the sun is responsible for sun tanning, and sun burns if you get too much. UV light causes many substances to glow or fluoresce under it.

I recommend a pet supply store for a UV flashlight, they are used for spotting pet stains. Keychain models for about $5 at pet stores. A black light will also work as they put out only UV light. Online is another option. I heard that for $15 you can get something (a black light?) at Home Depot but this a touch high for what you might find online or at a pet store, but not by more than a few dollars.

There is no way to find this cache without a UV light one way or another. It is using UV ink at the waypoints and that is invisible without the special wand (UV light). That's one of the reasons this is a 4 star difficulty hide.

Once this whole UV light thing catches on a bit, other's will follow. Groundspeak has a special attribute for "UV light" so it's obvious that they approve of it's use. I will be placing one or two more UV hides in the near future so keep the batteries fresh in your magic wand.
