Geocache Description:

A short walk on roads and footpaths on the edge of the village of Kirkbride.

In 2010 Kirkbride Parish Council produced a leaflet celebrating the work done to improve the condition of the footpaths around the village. Poor surfaces have been upgraded and kissing gates installed to make your walk drier underfoot and more accessible. You could park your car near the junction between Church Road and Birch Hill Lane at N 54° 54.127 W 003° 12.216. A circular walk from this point will be about I kilometre (5/8 mile) in length. If you take the Church Road route, make your way to the top of the hill passing the 12th century church (well worth calling in during the day) and following the road round to the right. Keep the farm buildings on your left until you find the path end at N 54° 54.301 W 003° 12.014. Your alternative anti-clockwise route down Birch Hill Lane will reach the path at N 54° 54.183 W 003° 11.975 Cache is a 35mm camouflaged film container, please make sure that the cache is well hidden when leaving the site and that evidence of your visit is reduced to a minimum
