Geocache Description:

Disguised micro cache. Contains only log, please bring your own pen/pencil and tweezers.
The cache is located at Mill Hill Wood managed by the National Forest and the wood was planted by the public in January 2007 as part of plant-a-tree-day. We planted an Oak tree in memory of Patrick Ward, a young man of 13 who sadly died in September 2006. Patrick wrote a poem which was published in Young Writers Great Minds - Poetry by 11-18 year olds.
The Mighty Oak Tree

There lived a boy in Edinburgh
and no known friends had he
For his dearest and only friend
was a mighty oak tree

All through the day the boy would dream
Of the oak's open arms
And resting there he felt at peace
Away from the world's harms

Not only did he feel at rest
He talked to the tree too
About his problems and his thoughts
It stopped him feeling blue

He once tried to talk to someone
They did not understand
Of all the questions the boy asked
The answers were all bland

Then one day in December morn
The tree was snatched away
And the boy left sad and helpless
Could not help feeling grey

The mother seeing the boy's gloom
Went with him to the woods
And found the perfect shaped acorn
Planted it amongst buds

The acorn did then grow and grow
With that the boy as well
Feeling the oak and himself thrive
Made him come out of his shell.
