Geocache Description:

You are looking for a micro container, not cammo'd but very well hidden. You DO NOT need to leave the trail to locate the cache. Bring your own pencil. Hidden with permission from the Licking Parks District.

The Ohio Greenway Covered Bridge was completed in 1994 by builder Paul Compton. Astabula County Engineer John Smollen designed the bridge (for free), and roofing shingles were donated by Owens-Corning Fiberglas.

The bridge required over $10,000 in building materials, but the labor to build the bridge was donated by the Ohio Civilian Conservation Corps.

Consisting of kiln-dried southern yellow pine, the structure is the first wooden truss bridge built in Ohio since 1986.

Spanning 79 feet 6 inches, it's design was modeled after an 1820'e era covered bridge, and is supported by wood instead of steel.

Limited parking (1 space) is available at the listed parking coordinates. The bridge and adjoining 3 mile bike path is maintained by the amazing staff and volunteers of the Licking Park District.
