Geocache Description:

This cache is in the Caoxi Park in the Xuhui District of Shanghai. It is easily accessible by Metro, but the park is only open 6 am to 6 pm. The cache is a micro, camouflaged as a rock among many rocks, not far from the Peony bed.

This garden is one of the most beautiful I have found in Shanghai.

It is well worth a walk around. Come for the cache, stay for the landscaping. The cache is located near a bed of Paeonia Suffruticosa, the tree peony, a species of peony native to China. It is known as 牡丹 "mǔdān" in Chinese and is an important symbol in Chinese culture. The peony is also the state flower of Indiana, from whence Granger (Indiana) Guy comes. These tree peonies are short, as they are kept in check by the constant loving tending of the gardeners.

To get to the cache, take Metro Line 1 to Caobao Road Station. From the train platform, be sure you come up the stairs to the North Hall, and take Exit 2. From there, it is a short walk north to the park entrance on Caoxi Road (follow the elevated road). The park entrance is at N 31° 10.439, E121° 25.846.

Difficulty is 2.5, primarily because of Muggle factor. Beware the Shanghai map offset that comes and goes. Waypoint on the map is not always the actual cache location.
