This cache is a nano inside a non-nano container, hidden next to a public footpath in Southwold. The area is suitable for pushchairs. Please bring your own pen/pencil and possibly a log removal tool. Please replace the cache exactly how you found it, also no spoilers in the logs.
I have placed this series of caches with the intention of testing the finding skills of all cacher's. Currently there are 8 caches in this series and every hide is unique. You will discover that some are easier to find than others, but they will all require you to use everything you have learned in cache seeking to find them. For the less experienced hunters I am more than happy to provide further clues in advance of you searching for them.
The walk itself follows well maintained footpaths and byways that meander around the beautiful village of Walberswick. I have tried to incorporate a diverse walking experience with water meadows, heathland, common land and marshes, not to mention the picturesque harbour. All of which have spectacular views and an abundance of wildlife. For the mini cacher's there is a play area which can be found between caches 4 & 5. For the grown ups, there are three Adnams pubs all a short walk from my caches. There's the Harbour inn on the Southwold side of the river and The Bell and Anchor in Walberswick.
I regularly walk these footpaths with my two dogs and baby daughter in her off-road style pushchair. The area after cache 8 as you drop down into the marshes can get muddy but other than this the footpaths should be dry.
There are several other caches close by to my route. Look out for 'Where Seagulls Dare', 'Brambles cache', 'Walberswick Church micro' and 'Dani Keeps Your Feet Dry' at the Walberswick ferry on the Southwold side.
The walk is only half complete. I am waiting for the Environment Agency to complete major ground works in the Walberswick and Dunwich marsh area. Once this is finished I have a further 8/10 caches to place. All caches have been placed with the kind permission of Natural England and the Walberswick common trust. Please remember to respect the countryside and take all rubbish home with you.
Happy Hunting.
