This small cache (large enough for a log, a few coins, and a few tradables, but little else) is to commemorate Danville's version of the cliffs of insanity (from one of my favorite movies The Princess Bride). The terrain rating is really about a 2 except for the last few steps (when it bumps up to a 3.5 (or so). BYOP.
No, you won't see Buttercup, Westley, Inigo Montoya, Fezzick, Vizzini, the Dread Pirate Roberts, or even Prince Humperdink here (I think they live closer to Philly), but you'll visit a nice peaceful spot to enjoy a peaceful view and maybe even some thoughtful moments.
I hid this cache earlier in the fall, but found that the coordinates were miserable, so I had to go back to get a better read - I did that today. However, you may need more explicit instructions below to find this just in case your GPS has as much "bad luck" as mine did.
As you leave the roadway, walk about 100 "Gene size" paces up the hill. You'll see a small trail branch off to your right (downhill) where someone has installed a couple of sturdy benches. Step back a bit (not too far), and look between the two benches... you'll see the hiding spot just a little up the hill. Look for my GPS in the attached photo.
Please take care to rehide as found.
Oh yeah... wintergirl07 picked the name!
Congratulations to TheKidMJB for the FTF.
