The bench has a plaque on it, which explain's the history behind
it, so please take a moment to read it. I'll use this space to tell
you why Florence Nightingale had such an impact on the world - and
it wasn't because of lamps, her talent as a nurse.
Florence was a great statistician, and a great communicator. She
managed to explain to people in power - people who had little time
for nurses - how many lives could be saved if they improved
nutrition and sanitation in the hospitals. To achieve this, she
even had to invent a new style of graph to display the
information.

This cache is barely wheelchair accessible. If you are fit and
have a good reach, then you should be able to get it, however the
road is a similar grade to a wheelchair ramp, and there are a
couple of 2 or 3cm steps to get to the bench.
