Luck Be A Chick Tonight!
The seventh time is a charm, right? Bring
all your luck for the 7th annual Michigan Geochicks
get-away weekend.
We’re headed back to where it all
started – Marsh Ridge in beautiful Gaylord. We have the
Summit Building reserved just for Chicks from Friday, April 15
– Sunday, April 17, 2011. You can stay one night or two,
it’s up to you! Marsh Ridge has offered a great discount for
the rooms. You will need to call Marsh Ridge at 1-800-743-7529 and
ask for a room for Geochicks. Each room sleeps four and
they are willing to divide the bill between
roommates. If you need a roommate, please post it as a note or look
at the notes to see if someone else needs one. If you will be
traveling with a member of the opposite sex, Marsh Ridge has
another building to stay in close to Summit.

GOODY
BAGS:
Every year ladies bring a bag (think
reusable grocery bags or larger for size) and an item to gift to
everyone that goes in the bag. It can be small and non-caching
related. Bags will be put out after breakfast and filled in the
afternoon. Examples of goody bag items are pathtags, candles,
homemade jewelry, sweets, encouraging notes, but really, your
imagination is your limit. This is really just for fun. Don’t
stress about it. Plan on about 30 items, or check the “will
attend” number on the cache
page.
SNACKS:
If you have a specialty, we
would love you to share it with us. If you are looking for
inspiration and you don’t want 30 bags of chips to choose
from, here is a suggestion:

We have access to a small kitchen in the
main gathering area with a refrigerator if the one in your room
isn’t big enough. Be prepared to give out your recipe if you
are making a homemade treat!

PRIZE
TABLE:
We have a raffle to auction off items you
donate to the prize table. We see a wide variety of items on the
table – the sky is the limit! Tickets for the prize table
will be handed out Saturday
evening.
PATHTAG
BINGO:
Back by popular demand is pathtag bingo.
It’s a regular bingo game but to enter, you have to donate a
pathtag for every card you will use during the game. The winner of
the game wins all the pathtags.
LOGO:
Laura of LightPeople has outdone herself
again by coming up with the logo. She’s brilliant. Use it for
Geochick 7 related items as you
wish.
