Take this hike at 6 am and you will get there just in time to watch about 100 parrots starting there day. The cache is a 20-30 minute walk from the trail head at the top of the Pacific Palisades in Pearl City, Hawaii. This cache is for all the bird lovers out there. Please leave cache attached to base of tree.
The Red crowned Amazon Parrot is endemic to Mexico. On Oahu, they are common in the Pearl City/Aiea. The parrots can be heard daily as they fly overhead in the early mornings and late evenings. They are loud enough to be an alarm clock. This is not a standard container. Please be sure to put it back where it will by supported. .
