Geocache Description:

This was originally a Bonus Cache for CAM 2011. A quick walk with a short bush whack, up the hill from the parking area.

THIS CACHE IS NOT A CHIRP CACHE

Finding this will be much easier in the winter...but should be no problem any time of year.

This should be a nice easy find before or after the hikes and hills you encounter looking for other caches in this area.

The cache is located just off of the parking lot for the 1.6 mile road that leads to Liberty Dam. Many days during the week the road is open and you can drive back to the dam. But on other days the gate is closed and the only way to get there is by parking here and walking back.

The parking lot is open Sunrise to Sunset and the road to dam closes promptly at 4 (if it is open at all).

Originally this cache was a bonus cache for the 2011 Cache Across Maryland series. The coordinates were obtained via finding the CAM cache in Liberty Reservoir, or by using the Chirp that was located near the cache. Once this cache publishes, the CHIRP will be removed as will the bonus cache directions in the CAM container.

But the legacy will live on.
