This is a very important market for Bangkok, it is old and well established. It has two sides. Food which is on the left hand side or the west. To the East is a market that is about things that kind of fell off a ship. Close by and behind is the Port of Khlong Toei which is where all the ships unload. SET is the Stock market and all trading happens. As a kid I remember the start of the SET which was in Siam Center which is next to Parragon and was one of Bangkok's first modern malls with air conditioning. Then it moved to Wireless Road and now to next to the Sirikit Center.
