The City of Asheville and Buncombe County each contributed to the design and master plan along with small financial contributions from the towns of Weaverville, Woodfin, Montreat, and Black Mountain. More than 300 sign elements are installed throughout Buncombe County directing visitors and residents alike to nearly 90 attractions, public spaces, historic sites and destinations.
This particular sign directs you to the River Arts District and Historic West Asheville.
IMPORTANT! If there is a large decorative bottom at the base of the sign. DO NOT LIFT IT! Lifting will damage the pole.
