Geocache Description:

A simple traditional cache near the entrance way to 'Nelson's newest suburb'.

This is an easy cache placed near the entrance to 'Nelson's newest suburb', Marsden Park. When I placed my first cache further up this valley a couple of years ago, I lamented the potential trend for the development of a residential subdivision in this area changing the nature of what has been a very peaceful spot. It looks like this is well on its way to happening with a whole stage of sections already prepared and ready for sale. The plans include several stages and a 'village' on both sides of Marsden Valley Road.

Aaah well, that's "progress" I guess. Let's hope GZ is a 'subdivision survivor'.

Update 8/1/13 - Population pressure (muggles) from this subdivision has I assume caused the demise of the original cache. The cache is now a micro mint tin with log only. Please replace the cache as you find. On my previous visits here I never took much notice of the water pipe that emerges on one side of the stream, arches over it and disappears back into the ground on the other side.

Update 22/8/15 - I have replaced the missing micro with a magnetic nano. See updated hint.
