Geocache Description:


My caching family has created a monster...well, maybe not a monster so to speak but an avid cacher...Rangergirl141.


It all started a few years back when the Indian Bead Trail series was placed by rnrgrl. You see, Rangergirl141 was one of the rangers at Riverbend Park and one night, she caught a few cachers sneaking in the park to find the series. She ended up driving them around to find a few caches as they explained what geocaching was all about. Rangergirl141 signed up basically to protect her park and learn where all the caches had been placed. We met her while in the park one day and she declared that our caches got her started.

She started caching by finding all nine IBT caches then slowly expanded her caching into the other parks she patrols. She adopted an old cache as her first hide. And when she mustered up enough courage to hide her first cache, she got a few pointers from us and Bonsairad.

She is definitely hooked now and this cache is in honor of her impending 1600th find!

Now about this cache....it is located in the Loxahatchee Slough which can be very wet and muddy at times. Double track trails weave themselves all through here so plan your route carefully. Bring water and snacks and comfy shoes and don't forget your camera! We saw lots of waterfowl, armadillos and a hog as well as coyote and bobcat tracks and deer sign.
