Hike the big loop.
Trail map is too new to be on the LMP web site yet!.
A new entrance and parking lot to access the trail is located at
12415 Concord-Hambden Road (Rt. 608). Hikers may experience uneven
terrain for most of the loop that features a pond and traces the
meadow perimeter with views of changing fall colors along the Big
Creek Valley. The trail head is limestone/crushed gravel, then
becomes a natural mowed-grass trail with uneven footing. To
maintain the natural conditions of the trail and prevent ruts and
damage, horses and bicycles are not permitted.
Turn east at the waypoint listed below as the trail turns here
and is currently marked only by a wooden stake.
Waypoint for overlook is near the cache and has an unstable
edge. LMP is planning on building a platform here to enjoy the view
down to Big Creek.
Thanks to LPM for issuing a permit for this cache. Park closes
at dusk.
