Geocache Description:

Drop Anchor at Bapor Kibra

-- A tribute to 2~Sherlocks' old Drop Anchor at the Sea Aquarium cache (GC176YD), now archived --

This cache is situated at the oceanfront of Bapor Kibra: just a few steps away from (a) the Sea Aquarium, (b) a 100 year-old wreck dive site, and (c) a deep-diving submersible capable of cruising at extreme depths.

(a) Curacao's Sea Aquarium complex is one of the most unique in the world because of its "open-water-system" -- meaning that actual seawater is continuously pumped into its tanks... Its various animal shows and exhibits are a "must-see" when visiting the island!

(b) If you're into scuba diving, the SS Oranje Nassau is just off the beach close to GZ, situated between 60 and 85 feet (20 and 28 meters)... This 1884 steamship was owned by the Royal West India Company and grounded during a fierce storm in 1906.

(c) Looking to go even deeper? Substation Curacao can take both cachers and non-cachers alike to exhilarating depths of the uncharted ocean, much deeper than most of us will ever be able to find 'hidden treasures'... up to 1,000 feet (300+ meters) deep!

A few simple requests concerning this cache: PLEASE be very mindful of muggles, write sufficiently small to allow space for future finders, and place it back EXACTLY as found to prevent it from being accidentally 'discovered'.

PS: A special thanks to Didy Man for maintaining this cache whenever I'm away from 'home'. Depending how much time you have, check out some of Didy Man's local caches hidden across the island which will guide you through some of Curacao's hidden jewels...

Additional Hints (Decrypt)

[SPOILER: Cache is a black magnetic nano attached at the bottom of an anchor's cleat; just sit on the anchor's palm (or fluke) and use your left hand to "feel" for the nano... if all else fails, look at the posted "Spoiler Image" on this cache listing. Please watch out for anyone around who may be watching, and last but not least place it back EXACTLY as found!]
