Ein kleiner Tradi in der Böllensee Siedlung.
Der Cache liegt in der Nähe einer Bushaltestelle, das kann also zu
entsprechendem Muggelaufkommen führen.

The cache is located close to a bus stop, hence there could be a
lot of muggles.
Ein kurzer geschichtlicher Exkurs:
In 1935 begann die Nassauische Heimstätte mit dem Bau
vonVolkswohnungen für die gegenüber liegenden Opel –
Werke.
So entstand bis 1938 zuerst die Friedrich-Ebert-Siedlung (die
„A-Siedlung“) und danach ab 1939 die Böllensee-Siedlung
(die „B-Siedlung“). Viele der neuen Häuser wurden
allerdings durch den 2. Weltkrieg und die fortwährende
Bombardierung der Opel-Werke massiv zerstört.
In den 90er Jahren wurden die Wohnblocks flächendeckend renoviert
und geben so der Böllensee-Siedlung ihr heutiges Gesicht. Seit 1989
steht die Siedlung außerdem unter Denkmalschutz
(Ensembleschutz).

A short historical excursion:
In 1935 the Nassauische Heimstätte began with the building of
worker flats for the car manufacturer Opel nearby. Thus the
Friedrich-Ebert-Siedlung was completed until 1938 (the so called
"A-Siedlung”) and afterwards in 1939 the building of the
Böllensee-Siedlung ("B-Siedlung”) started. Many of the new
houses were massively destroyed by the 2nd world war and the
continuous bombardment of the Opel factory.
In the 90s the former worker flats were completely renovated and
give thus to the Böllensee-Siedlung her today’s face.
Moreover, since 1989 the settlement stands under conservation of
monuments and historic buildings (ensemble protection).
