The area of the cache is an abandoned and ruined stony Greek
village so called Old Kouteli fulled of ruined stony-like
houses,abandonded a long, long time ago....
The cache is placed on the outside wall in proximity to the house
entrance on the apex of the upper left side door entrance.
Look carefully the stony outside wall near the house entrance on
the upper left side apex of the (broken) door.
We set out for a small adventure on the heights of Aroania
Mountains, at a very close distance from Kalavrita city (aprox. 15
km) and the Kalavrita ski resort. The cache is also very close to a
confluential point (to say the trouth that's the principal reason
we set out to seek) near the local muddy road. (N 38 00.000' E 022
00.000') . Although not part of the cache any of this you can go
and check it out.You must leave your car and hike your way up to
the hills.(about 20 minutes).Although the area's altitude isn't
very high (~1100 m above sea level), it's terrain full of trees,
rivers and trails is ideal for hiking, mountaineering with your
mountain bike or even 4x4ing.The area of the cache is an abandoned
and ruined stony Greekvillage so called Old Kouteli at the
outskirts (guess what)New Kouteli !There are lots of abandoned
houses here and there, left some time ago from the villagers....The
area is truly breathtaking espetialy the time that we left night
from the place! You can leave your car on the proximity of the
gravel local road, or if you have a mountain bike or SUV you can go
down muddy trail and leave it to the small muddy opening there.At
the proximity of the point there is an old church, and stony
shelter with fresh running water.We thought that it would be an
ideal place for a cache, so we hid the cache on the outside wall of
a ruined house near the designated coordinates.The cache is a small
plastic container with a pen, a pencillogbook, instructions in
English and Greek one coin and a marble.It is warped up in a blue
plastic bag.The cache is placed on the outside wall in proximity to
the house entrance on the apex of the upper left side door
entrance.Look carefully the stony outside wall near the house
entrance the upper left side apex of the (broken) door.
