Geocache Description:


It's that time of year! Early February marks a season of flowers, cards, and overtime shifts at the Wonka factory. How did it all start? Depends on who you ask. According to one source, the Roman Emperor Claudius set the wheels in motion. Claudius, fearing that "attached" men made for inferior soldiers, outlawed marriage. Young couples in love, however, would not be deterred. Anxious to seal the deal, they would go to see a certain priest named Valentine, who would marry the folks in secret. Apparently, the future St. Valentine wouldn't let a little thing like Roman law get in the way of true love.
