Geocache Description:

The township of Cudgewa is home to a former railway terminus on the old line from Wodonga. Browse through antiques and Australiana before enjoying the local hospitality. A visit to the Upper Murray would not be complete without a visit to Cudgewa Bluff Falls.

Cudgewa is located approximately 13 km west of Corryong and is situated on the Cudgewa Valley Road. The town has developed around the dairying and beef production that is carried out along the fertile Cudgewa valley.

The town has a football team involved with the Upper Murray Football League, an Australian Rules Football competition which began in 1893. Cudgewa FC played its first season in 1893 and is one of three foundation clubs. Over the many years the club has produced many premiership winning teams most recently the back to back flags of 1999 & 2000. The club also uses the same jumpers as the Carlton FC.

Access to the GZ may be limited between April and September on a Saturday afternoon when there is a home game on.
