Golden Obelisk Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

McAdies: We came to replace this today only to see the whole area has been cleared from when the cache was placed.
The cache was also not hidden at all and the bison tube with log was missing so we collected the container and archived the cache.
Thanks to everyone who found this one.

Geocache Description:

This monument is in recognition of the discovery of gold in Ballarat in 1851.
It has had a checkered past and has among other things been moved, broken, lost and restored to be placed where you see here.
There is ample parking within 20 meters of the cache, and also toilets at the park across the road.
