Family friendly cache with easy access and parking within a few feet of cache. Expect a High Muggle Factor during summer months. Cache accessible all hours year round but night caching could bring official investigators with flashing blue lights.

Don't be distracted by the nearby letterbox. This cache is a large clear plastic container located near a Manteo, NC, landmark that has been a favorite destination for visitors and locals since 1967. Container is large enough for small Christmas related ornaments & collectibles and could be a Travel Bug hotel. The high Muggle Factor during summer months may make stealth necessary to retrieve/replace cache.
Staff does not know about the cache but the owner does. If you get a chance please say hello to the owner Mr. Greene and thank him for giving permission to place this cache.
The Town of Manteo wraps around Shallowbag Bay on the eastern side of Roanoke Island, part of North Carolina's Outer Banks. Named the seat of government for Dare County in 1870, this waterfront community incorporated in 1899. Nearby attractions include a representative 16th century ship at Roanoke Island Festival Park, Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse, The Elizabethan Gardens, and Waterside Theatre, home to the nation's oldest outdoor symphonic drama, The Lost Colony.
