Charlton Athletic FC have played at this ground (a former chalk-pit, fondly referred to as The Valley) since 1919, with exception of a few years spent in Catford, Crystal Palace and West Ham. The club currently plays in Football League One, and is looked upon fondly by many local residents, even those who don't care for football, for the liveliness brought to the village by its generally well-behaved fans on match days.

The roads around here are fairly quiet, except on match days, when the surrounding roads are filled with thousands of fans, security and police.
I do not advise you to try and find the cache on match days. Do check before leaving home.
